Famous crooner, Flavour N’abania comes under fire over a video of him bowing before Ooni of Ife at a wedding reception.
The hitmaker who recently released his album, ‘African Heritage’ performed before some top personalities at the grand event.
At the ceremony, notable personalities such as Vice President Kashim Shettima, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, Cubana Chief Priest, and so on were all in attendance.
However, a particular scene in the clip that showed the moment Flavour bowed before the Ooni of Ife, and another Northern leader triggered reactions from some netizens.
Taking to the comment section, some Instagram users aired their displeasure with Flavour gesture, stating that Igbo men don’t bow to fellow men.

Popular entrepreneur and founder/CEO of Elin Group Limited, Elizabeth Jack Rich, threw a lavish party for her 40th birthday on Tuesday, May 23, and it was starstudded.
The likes of the Ooni of Ife, Kanayo O. Kanayo and Pete Edochie were among the prominent figures spotted at the event.
The clip which Kanayo shared on his Instagram page showed the moment he, alongside Pete, approached Ooni’s table at the event as they gave the traditional ruler the popular Igbo back handshake.
The viral video, however, triggered mixed reactions from netizens as many knocked the actors for not respecting traditions, some blamed the Ooni, while others defended the veteran actors.
