Veteran actress, Rita Edochie has come forward to defend her brother-in-law and colleague, Chief Pete Edochie, against the onslaught of criticism and false accusations circulating on social media.
Addressing the ruthless attacks stemming from the drama in Yul Edochie’s household, Rita exonerated Chief Pete Edochie from the controversy.
Rita noted that Pete Edochie has received a lot of blasts from netizens accusing him of supporting Judy Austin as he starred in their movie. Regarding this, she clarified that Chief Pete Edochie’s involvement in a controversial movie was a result of his commitment to his profession, unaware of who the producer was.
Despite being paid for two projects, Rita disclosed that Pete opted out of the second upon realizing that Judy Austin was the producer. Rita highlighted Chief Pete Edochie’s age and dignity, urging critics to refrain from dragging him into such controversy.
Rita also defended her sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Edochie (Yul Edochie’s mom), from baseless accusations, urging the public to respect their privacy. She affirmed that Yul’s mom has also been doing a lot of work offline regarding Yul’s marriage saga.
